Mark Wayne Portman

Mark Wayne Portman, age 66, of the St. Paul community, passed away, Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his residence.

He was born December 14, 1956, in Jefferson County, KY, to the late William W. and Eunice Molly Harness Portman. He was an assembly line worker at General Electric Company and a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. He also enjoyed cutting wood and helping family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Portman.

Mark is survived by two sisters, Lana Fitzgerald (Mike) of Louisville and Mary Mullins of Mt. Washington; five brothers Eddie (Linda) of Clarkson, David (Linda) of Louisville, Steve (Pat) of Louisville, Tom (Wanda) of St. Paul, and Paul of Clarkson and several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral mass will be held at 12 PM (CDT), Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Hohman officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM (CDT), Friday and from 9 to 11:30 AM Saturday, at Rogers Funeral Home.

Prayer service will be held at 6 PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
