Janice Williams Obituary

Janice G. Line Williams, age 85, passed away, Monday, February 12, 2024, at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leitchfield with her niece, Leisa, by her side.

She was born August 25, 1938, in Rock Creek to the late Clifford and Lois G. Line. She is survived by one son, Michael Edward Williams of California; one brother, Kenny (Martha) Line of Clarkson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Williams; and one brother, Sonny Line (Ardys).

Janice graduated from Clarkson High School in 1955 as salutatorian of her class. She married Edward Williams on Friday the thirteenth, the week after graduation. They moved to Louisville where he started working for American Air Filter Company. That fall Ed joined the U. S. Air Force and after training was assigned to cold snowy Limestone, Maine for the next four years. They moved back to Louisville where Ed went back to work for American Air Filter, and in 1976 he was transferred to Zion, Illinois as plant manager and lived in cold snowy Kenosha, Wisconsin. Janice started working at Snap-on Tool Company headquarters as an accountant located in Kenosha and retired in 1999. They moved to Buttonwood Bay in Sebring, Florida and enjoyed the warm weather and beaches and dreaded the hurricanes. After Ed passed away, Janice moved back to Grayson County, Kentucky. Janice was a kind and thoughtful person and wanted everyone to do well. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sebring, Florida.

Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
