Hays Ashby Obituary

Hays William Ashby, age 76, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born May 11, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Beverly Ray and Virgina Kathryn Nichols Ashby. He was a retired Mechanic, and he enjoyed repairing automobiles. He was a United States Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Hays is survived by several children and grandchildren; two sisters, Nina Hallum (Rich) and Cheri Hines (Jim); and one brother, Nelson Ashby (Tammy).

Cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be announced later.

Donations in Hays’s memory can be made to the charity of their choice.
