Walter Shartzer, age 83, of Louisville, KY passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born in Grayson County, KY on November 14,1933, son of Thomas and Carrie (Gragson) Shartzer and was married to Karen (Grant) Shartzer.

He was a retired Switchman for CXS Railroad.

Mr. Shartzer is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Lisa DeLonjay and Jami Hullums and one son J.R. Shartzer.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Tabatha Vance, Kayla DeLonjay and Brandon Hullums and two Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Visitation : NO VISITATION

Services : Graveside services at 2:30PM (CDT) Friday April 21 2017 at Clarkson Cemetery.

Interment : Burial in Clarkson Cemetery.
