Virginia Nottingham Armstrong, age 84, of Leitchfield, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2024, at her residence.

She was born August 31, 1940, to the late Raymond and Della Smiley Nottingham.

Virginia was a housewife and a loving wife, momma and mamaw. She loved to color pictures, read books and watch hummingbirds. She was a member of Little Clifty Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Chester Armstrong; two brothers, Floyd Nottingham (Marylin) and Charles Nottingham (Alene); two sister-in-laws, Frances Armstrong and Ailene Armstrong; two brother-in-laws, Laymon Hart and Clinton Armstrong (Dorthy).

She is survived by two daughters, Danita Kiper and Gail Armstrong; three grandchildren, Michael Kiper, Pam Fulkerson (William) and Daniel Kiper; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Fulkerson; one sister, Ann Hart; two brother-in laws, JT Armstrong and Cecil Armstrong; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM (CT), Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Little Clifty Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Hill officiating.  Burial will follow at Little Clifty Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at Watkins Funeral Home and after 9 AM on Wednesday at the church.
