Robert Stanley Cain, 93, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville.

Born on September 24, 1932, in Meade County, Kentucky, Robert was the son of the late Moses Cain and Eva May Cain. He lived a life defined by faith, hard work, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Corporal. After his military service, he enjoyed a career of 41 years with LG&E before retiring. He later became the owner of a furniture store in Radcliff, Kentucky, where he earned the respect and friendship of many through his honesty, generosity, and dedication to serving others.

Music was one of Robert’s greatest joys, a talented drummer, he spent many years playing with his band on weekends, sharing his love of music with audiences throughout the area. Whether behind the drums or surrounded by family and friends, Robert’s smile and gentle spirit brought happiness to those around him.

Robert will also be remembered for his generous heart. He never hesitated to help someone in need and was especially compassionate toward those experiencing homelessness, often stopping to offer a meal, or kind word. His quiet acts of kindness reflected the way he lived his life with humility, empathy, and genuine care for others.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years of marriage, Edna M. Cain; his daughter, Lisa French (Jim); his son, Glenn Allen Cain (Kay); his grandchildren, Amanda Clark (Casey), Paige Marquardt (Zack), and Jac Cain; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Rhett Clark, Kendall Marquardt, Jameson Clark, and Audrey Clark.

Funeral Mass will be at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12 Noon, (CT), Friday, July 24, 2026, with Rev. Suneesh Mathew officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 12 Noon (CT), Friday, July 24, at St. Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
