Randall Howard Decker, age 68, of Clarkson, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Owensboro Health-Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born May 17, 1954, in Louisville, KY to the late, Athel "Sambo" Decker and Pauline "Reener" Malone Decker Kincaid.
He was employed at Vermont American in Leitchfield for 32 years, until the time of the plant's closure. He then took up the plumbing trade and was the owner of Decker Plumbing Repair.
He was saved when he was 18 years old at Lone Oak Missionary Baptist Church and attended Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
Randy was a well known "horse trader." He loved to buy, sell, swap and trade. He was a hard worker who enjoyed life, playing pranks on his friends and co-workers and telling stories, which he had plenty of.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Riley Jacob Decker.
Randy is survived by the love of his life, Karen Cubbage Decker; one daughter Valina (David) Priddy; two sons, Robert "Bob" and Joe (Ashley) Decker; three sisters, Carolyn "Tina" "Sis" (Daniel) Hall, Barbara "Suzie Q" (Kenny) Meffert and Tami (Wayne) Cross; four grandsons, two granddaughters; three nephews and several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Vincent and Bro. Roger Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the McGrew Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
