Paul Ray Shoptaw Sr., age 76, of Leitchfield, passed away, Monday, October 25, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin.

He was born January 20, 1945, in Louisville, to the late Elmer and Stanley Mae Thompson Shoptaw. He was a member of Potter's Hope Church, retired groundskeeper from Pennsylvanian Run Golf Course and loved fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Shoptaw and Cornell Shoptaw.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Mayes Shoptaw; two sons, Stephen Shoptaw and Paul Ray Shoptaw, Jr. (Veronica); two daughters, Lynn Looney (Bobby) and Jeana Smith (Chase); six grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Tonya, Darien, Brittany and Chelsea; two brothers and three sisters, Donnie Shoptaw, Kathy Oswald, Wanda Haesley, Linda Coy and Gary Lee Shoptaw and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021, at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in the New Freedom Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM, Thursday and after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home.
