Paul Wayne Carnes, age 53, of Clarkson, passed away, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Owensboro Health-Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born December 23, 1970, in Grayson County to Sue Decker Higdon and Cletus Roger Carnes. He loved fishing, driving and spoiling kids. He was saved at Anneta Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Carnes.

Paul is survived by a son, Cody Carnes; his mother, Sue Higdon; his father, Roger Carnes; two grandchildren, Hunter Carnes and Allison Carnes; two brothers, Barry Higdon (Mandy) and Ashley Higdon (Brandi); a sister-in-law, Kathy Carnes; eight nieces and nephews and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM (CT), Friday, September 20, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Damon Lasley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Peonia Christian Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 9 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
