Mildred H. Meredith 97,a resident of Just Like Home Personal Care, Cresson, formerly of Clarksville, TN. died on June 27, 2016 in Cresson. Born December 2, 1918 in Leitchfield, KY., daughter of the late William Joseph and Ella F. (Sims) Higdon.

Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Edward C. Meredith on February 18, 2000, sisters: Anna Lee Grant, Delores Watson, Margaret Van Meter. And Albert Wortham and brother, Ezra.

Survived by children: Bill and wife, the former Cathy Casini of Flinton, PA and Mary J. Vandegrift and husband, P.H. of Columbia, MD. 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.

Last member of her immediate family. Mildred volunteered into her 90s at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen and at hospitals and nursing homes in the Clarksville area for many years. She belonged to the immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women (ICCCW) for a number of years. She belonged to the immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women (ICCCW) for a number of years.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main Street, Coalport, PA 16627 where a Vigil Service will be held Thursday. Committal will be held Saturday at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Clarkson, KY.
