Merle Everett Biery, Jr., age 62, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

He was born on May 20, 1964, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Merle Everett Biery, Sr. and Joyce Ann Richardson Biery.

Merle was a kind-hearted man who never met a stranger. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing, playing basketball with the children, collecting and dealing in antiques and furniture, and was an avid scrapper.

In addition to his parents, Merle was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Biery, and a sister, Darena Gay Biery.

He is survived by three brothers, Joey Brock (LaVonna), John Biery (Melissa), and Timmy Biery (Chantel); one sister, Debbie Davis; and 27 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM (CT), Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson with Rev. John Duty officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Big Clifty.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM (CT), Saturday, at the funeral home.
