Mary Bernita Sims was born in Hart Co., KY. She was a Housewife and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was married to the late John B. "Bennie" Sims and was the daughter of the late Ewell and Vera Bradley Johnston.

She is survived by five daughters: Janet Lashley, Debbie Higdon, Gayle Bogard, Joyce Hall and Anita Gutierrez; two sons: Bennie and Justin Sims; 23 Grandchildren; 30 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild; seven sisters: Juanita Higdon, Lorena Shumar, Odalene Clemons, Georgetta Smith, Judy Clemons, Denise Sims and Maryla White; five brothers: Royce, Wilford, Freeman, Wayland and Dwight Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, a daughter Phyllis, a grandson John David, and a brother Armond.

Per the family request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hosparus of Central Ky.
