Margaret Jean Henderson Alvey was born in Green Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Richard T. Henderson and Delia Hortense Wilcox Alvey. She married Richard "Dick" Alvey on May 26, 1973.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Clarkson Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for thirty-seven years and presently a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She received a Bachelor's Degree from Campbellsville University and her Masters in Library Science from University of Kentucky. She was a librarian at Campbellsville University and was a retired schoolteacher from the Grayson Co. School System.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters; Mark Morris ( Melisa) of Campbellsville, Donna Morris Vieira (Steven) of Caneyville, Michael W. Alvey (Lynne) of Owensboro, Richard Lee Alvey of Big Clifty, Conrad E. Alvey of Leitchfield and Susan Alvey of Bowling Green; four Grandchildren; two Great-grandchildren; three sisters: Delia Pauline Durrett of Summersville, Shirley Ann Torjosen (Harry) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Sharon Kay Tyra (Ernie) of Walkertown, NC; several Nieces and Nephews and many other relative and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, and two brothers: James Robert Henderson and Donald Gray Henderson.
**Expressions of sympathy should be donations to South Campbellsville Baptist Church, Gideon Bibles or Jt. Jude Hospital and may be made to Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
