Lucille Rau, age 83, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church, a retired bookkeeper, church musician, a member of the Grayson County Homemakers Club and the Grayson County Historical Society.

Lucille was the devoted mother to 6 children. They are Chris (Billy) Carter of Leitchfield, Bev (Pete) Thomson of Hopkinsville, Edwin Keith (Kaye) Earles of Huntington, W. Va., Phillip Lynn Earles of Murfreesboreo, TN., Donna Earles (Toodie Ray) of Huntington, W. VA. and Jennifer (Don) Follis of Urbana, IL.

Other survivors include 10-grandchildren, 7-great-grandchildren, 4-step granchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children; Horace Earles, husband; Marion "Raudy" Rau, her parents; Alfred and Lillie Kurkendall Meyer, 13-brothers and sisters and 1-grandson.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to: Leitchfield United Methodist Church, Coyle Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Grayson Co. Historical Society or Camp Loucon.

Visitation : A time for family and friends to gather and share will be held Friday Sept. 9 2011 from 5 - 8 and Saturday from 9 until time of service. .

Services : Memorial services will be at 11 AM Saturday September 10 2011 at Leitchfield United Methodist Church with Bro. Darrell Lyons and Bro. Billy Carter officiating.

Interment : Cremation was chosen. Burial to follow at a later date.
