Larry Ray Johnson, age 69, was born in Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late James J. and Frances Darnell Johnson. He was married to Paula Faye Portman Johnson.

Larry was a former employee of Mid-American Warehouse, a US Army E-4 Artillary Vietnam Veteran serving his country for 6 years and being discharged in 1970. Larry fought in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969., and was a member of Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church.

He is survived by his Wife Paula; two daughters Tamra Ammerman (Robert) and Angela Boyd (Charles "Chuck"); two grandchildren Chelsea and Christopher Ammerman; two step-grandchildren Robyn and Natalie Ammerman; one great-granddaughter Abbigail Garrison; six brothers: Gerald (Reva), Delton (Betty), Howard (Larry's twin brother), Roger (Ann), Gary (Sandra)and Darrell (Theresa) Johnson; two sisters Delores Brown and Beverly Asberry.

Larry was a loving son, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Larry was preceded in death by his Parents and one brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Irene Johnson.

Visitation : Tuesday January 14 2014 at Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church after 1:00 PM CDT.

Services : Wednesday January 15 2015 at 10:00 AM CDT at Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Douthitt officiating.

Interment : Mt. Hebron Cemetery
