Obituary

Larry B. Harder, age 76, of Leitchfield, KY, entered into his Eternal Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

Larry was born in Ohio, County,KY to the late Albert Murville and Ruby Lanham Harder.

He grew up in Ohio County and following graduation from Fordsville High School in 1955 he entered the US Air Force, where he worked as a Dental Assistant. He was a 50 year Mason, graduate of Spencerian Business School, past co-owner and presently real estate agent of Grayson County Key Associates, Ky. Colonel, served on the Ky. Baptist Executive Board, member and Deacon of Little Clifty Baptist Church. He was retired from Gulf Oil Co. and General Telephone Company.

On September 19, 1959 he married his Soul Mate, Doris Cummings and they were blessed with many wonderful years. On their 53rd.Wedding Anniversary he left his Soul Mate to go be with his Heavenly Father.

They were lifelong residents of Kentucky and the highlight of their life was on November 10, 1967 when they were chosen to be the parents of a beautiful baby boy.

Larry was a soft spoken man. His tender heart was visable as he reached out to those in need.

He loved reading his Bible and sharing the love of Christ in his daily walk. He loved watching his beloved UK ball games. His reputation was big, but his heart was bigger. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was happiest surrounded by his wife, son, daughter-n-law and grandchildren.

He leaves behind to celebrate his life a wife, Doris; one son, Timothy Lee (Laura) Harder of Louisville, one grandson, Timothy Lee Harder, Jr. of Lexington, one grand-daughter,Kathryn Anne Harder of Louisville; one brother, Eugene (JoAnn) Harl of Owensboro; two brothers-in-law, J.P. Wilson of Fordsville and Billy Cummings of Falls of Rough; two sisters-in-law, Sue (Ellis) Tate of Falls of Rough and Deloris Cummings of Louisville.

Several nieces and nephews also survive, as well as a multitude of wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Betty Coppage and Joyce Wilson and one brother-in-law; Harold Cummings.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Sunrise Children's Organization, Mt. Washington, KY.

Visitation : Friends may call at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00am - 8:00pm (CST) on Friday Sept. 21 2012 continuing at 9:00am Saturday until time of service.

Services : Funeral service will be at 11:00am (CST) Saturday September 22 2012 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Gerry Otahal officiating.

Interment : Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ohio County.
