Kevin S. Wilson, age 52, drowned at Maui, Hawaii on

August 1, 2010 where he had lived for 7 years. He was born in Louisville, KY., graduated from high school in Hollidaysburg PA., and from Kean College in New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his father; Charles E. Wilson.

Kevin is survived by his mother; Kay B. Wilson(Jim Walker)

of Knoxville, TN., one brother; Kent and his wife Kim, of Hersey, PA., one nephew; Matthew Wilson and one niece; Melissa Kay Carl (Eric).

He is also survived by his paternal grandmother; Mabel Wilson of Big Clifty, KY., two uncles; James Wilson (Jean) and Robert Wilson of Springerville,Arizona., four aunts; Shirley Oller (Scottie) of Leitchfield KY., Carolyn Dennis (Edward) of Big Clifty, KY., Sandra Weiss (Emil) of Elburn, IL. and Blanche Madsen (Lee) of Hinckley, IL.and several cousins.

Kevin was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Emmett Wilson and his maternal grandparents;Hubert and Clemmie Oller Burden.

A Surfer's Celebration of Life was held at Maui on August 7th. While his mother, brother and sister-in-law watched from the beach, fellow surfers swam into the ocean, formed a circle and spread his cremains in a tribute to one of their own. A wake followed on the beach for his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home, Leitchfield, KY.
