Joseph A. Sims, age 70, passed away Thursday at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.

Mr. Sims was born in Grayson County, KY., son of the late Samuel Thomas and Gladys Kidwell Sims. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, veteran of the Vietnam Era and retired from G.E. as a machine operator.

He is survived by two daughters; Phyllis Warden and Marcia Sims and one son; Derrick Joseph Sims.

Other survivors include five brothers; Sherrill, Jerry, Danny, Tom and Murrell Sims, three sisters; Betty Sue Milliner, Corene Minton and Regina Bradley and nine grandchildren.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home on Sunday July 13 2014 from 3 - 8 PM CDT. Prayer services will be at 6 PM Sunday.

Services : Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday July 14 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Hohman officiating.

Interment : Burial to follow in St.Paul Cemtery.
