John D. Huff, age 74, of Leitchfield, passed away, Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his residence.

He was born August 4, 1949, in Calvert City, KY, to the late Buster and Marietta Ford Huff. He retired from the National Security Agency after 28 years of service; was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church, the Methodist Church Men's Group and the Twin Lakes Region Medical Center Auxiliary for over 20 years. He enjoyed watching tv, especially sports and helping at Camp Loucon with the church men.

John is survived by his wife, Veda Stratton Huff; a sister Jane Huff; a stepson, Robert Newton; a grandson, Trevor Newton (Amber); three great-grandchildren, Kasyn, Kamden and Karter Newton and his dog, "Oscar."

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon (CST), Friday, February 9, 2024, at Watkins Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM, Thursday and after 9 AM, Friday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus of Central Kentucky
