Jim Downs was born in Grayson Co., KY. His parents were Earl and Eunice Paris Downs. On January 30, 1954 he married Carolyn Whitaker. He was a retired Self-employed mechanic, a Veteran of the Air Force serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Carolyn Whitaker Downs; four sons: Greg, Bryan, David and William Earl Downs; a daughter Marianne Downs; three grandsons: Zach, Tyler and Janus; a granddaughter Erin; and two great-granddaughters: Molly and Amelia.

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Services : Friday January 30 2015 at 11:00 AM CST at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro.Johnnie Long and Bro. Arland Benningfield officiating.
