Jesse Robert Haycraft was born on May 14, 1925 in Grayson County, KY., in what is known as the Snap Community. He was the son of Joseph Allen and Della Lee (Reeves) Haycraft, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother; Terry Haycraft.

Mr. Haycraft's Livelihood and Love was always centered around his Music. In the late 1940's, he joined the Entertainers at Renfro Valley, as a Soloist and Guitar Player, playing many Radio and Road Shows.

He served 3 years in the Air Force. From 1950 -1953 he had his own Club Entertainment, forming his own Band for personal appearances.

He attended Western KY. State College, graduating in 1959 with a BA Degree in Music and the Violin as his major instrument. He was the Director of the first Grayson County School Orchestra from 1973 - 1982.

Mr. Haycraft taught Violin Lessons at his home until severe hearing loss forces his retirement in 2004.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 4 -8PM (CDT) on Thursday April 13 2017 and after 9AM Friday.

Services : Funeral service is at 11AM (CDT) on Friday April 14 2017 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home. Bro. John Whittaker will officiate.

Interment : Burial will follow in Clarkson Cemetery.
