James William Logsdon, Sr. age 81, of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026, at Owensboro Health-Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 25, 1945, in Grayson County, to the late Dillard and Elsie Alvey Logsdon. He retired from Walter T. Kelley Beekeeping Company and was a member of Broadford Missionary Baptist Church. He loved animals, especially his dog Chocolate and horses. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the garden and going to horse sales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Logsdon; two sons, Jamie and Larry Logsdon; three brothers, Steve, Deward and Jimmy and four sisters, his twin Betty, Edie, Berniece and Ronella.
James is survived by three daughters, Heather March (Buddy), Donna Wade (Greg) and Natasha Vincent (Austin); twelve grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Lininger (Troy), Molly Thurner (Matt), Dylan Harvey (Casey), Tyler Logsdon (Maxi), Nick Rager (Chesney), Heaven Lyons (Emily), Brittany Logsdon, Brett Logsdon (Kim), Trent Logsdon, Blaine Webb (Amberly), Alaya Cooper and Anthony Cooper; thirty-one great-grandchildren, Morgan Dennison, Arianna Soto, Peyton Soto, Gemma Lininger, Braylon Lininger, Korbyn Thurner, Ella Webb, Raylee Thurner, Levi Thurner, Hallie Fey, Phillip Beasley, Anthony Beasley, Brailyn Beasley, Kelsey Beasley, Cylas Logsdon, Easton Logsdon, Paisley Tomes, Charli Vincent, Bryson Tomes, Tripp Vincent, Kinsley Tomes, Kyndall Jones, Banks Rager, Oliver Lyons, Beckam Dennis, Brooklyn Dennis, Graclyn Logsdon, Landon Logsdon, Brinlee Webb, Rowan Webb and Gracie Barrow; a brother, Clay Logsdon; a daughter-in-law, Belvina Logsdon; two special caregivers, Joan Farris and Peyton Soto and several other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM (CT), Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Wilkins Cemetery in Edmonson County with Bro. Randy Meredith officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday at Rogers Funeral Home.
