James Laymon Heaverin, age 56, of Leitchfield, KY., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.

He was the son of the late Charles and WawNeata Puckett Heaverin and was married to Helen Richardson Heaverin.

James was a member of Eveleigh Independent Church. He was retired from the City of Leitchfield as a Animal Control Officer.

James is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Latisha Heaverin of Leitchfield and Amanda Heaverin, of Clarkson; one son, Derek Heaverin of Leitchfield; two

step-sons; Joshua Richardson of Shelbyville, KY and Jesse Richardson of Bowling Green, KY., and one step-daughter, Rebecca Richardson of Leitchfield. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Kayden Heaverin, Parker Embry and Michael Richardson and his sister, Aleata Eanes of Leitchfield.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Darrell Heaverin.

Visitation : Friends after 12:00 noon on Thursday Dec. 8 2011 continuing at 9:00 AM Friday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home.

Services : Funeral services at 2:00 PM on Friday December 9 2011 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joe Watson officiating.

Interment : Burial will be in Clarkson Cemetery.
