James R. Garrett was born in Montour Falls, New York. He was the son of Albert and Hazel Hammond Garrett. He did Robotics Maintenance at Campbell Hausfeld.

He is survived by a daughter Lyndsay Burns; parents Albert and Hazel Garrett; a granddaughter Ellie Jean Burns; two sisters: Mary L. Poteet and Deborah Ross; two nieces: Theresa Mills and Jessica Nelson; and two nephews: William Luis and Alexander Ross.

Visitation : Saturday September 24 2016 at 3:00 PM CDT until time of service at Victory Heights Fellowship.
