Hurshel Bookmiller, Jr. age 91, of Hardin County, passed away, Monday, September 12, 2022, at Kensington Center in Elizabethtown.

He was born June 3, 1931, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late, Hurshel Bookmiller Sr. and Ruby Mitchell Bookmiller.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Smith Bookmiller; two children, Leon and Lerea Bookmiller and two brothers, John and James Bookmiller.

He is survived by a son, Robert D. (Kathleen) Bookmiller; two granddaughters, Ashlea Lyons and Betty Fay Bookmiller and ten great-grandchildren, John and Wyatt Lyons, Deliah Bookmiller, Edward, Bruce, Oliver, McKenzie, Pandora and Christine Holmes and Micah Johnson.

Cremation was chosen and the family will have a memorial service in Alabama at a later date.
