Harold Gene Scifres, age 84, of Clarkson, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

He was born May 7, 1939 in Hardin County, Kentucky to the late Bennett and Mable Dunaway Scifres. Harold has lived at Nolin Lake since 1979. He was a retired over the road truck driver for 47 years. He enjoyed restoring old Buick cars and loved being with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Robinson Scifres; one daughter Sharon Ann Scifres Chavez; and two brothers James Emmett Scifres and Kenneth Scifres.

He was survived by two nephews, James Edward (Carolyn) Scifres and Michal Anthony (Cathy) Scifres; and two nieces, Carol June (Roger) Scifres and Tammy Lynn (Joe) James; and many great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM (CDT), Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Visitation will be after 10 AM (CDT) Saturday at the funeral home.
