Harold "BARNEY" Sadler, age 82, of Leitchfield, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was born on November 14, 1940, Louisville, KY to the late James and Maurine Sadler.

Barney worked as a carpet layer and owned his own business. Later he worked as a gas tech for Foster Propane and was a hard-working farmer. He loved collecting John Deere, mowing his yard and taking tractor rides with the great grand kids. In his golden years he loved to fly and travel with his wife. He was a life time member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Dossie Sadler of Leitchfield; two sons, Greg (Melinda) Meredith of Bowling Green and Stephen Sadler of Florida; four daughters, Tracy (Doug) Dennison of Leitchfield, Jessica Pauline Darst of Glendale, Amanda (Charles) Whobrey of Leitchfield and Nevada Jody (Travis) Whobrey of Leitchfield; two special granddaughters Kasandra Wilkerson and Chelsea Whobrey; and an additional 17 grandchildren and15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene (Jim) Rakestraw; one brother Darrell (Linda) Sadler and several nieces and nephews

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two nephews.

There will be a visitation from 2 to 8 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Watkins Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 6 PM .
