Gladys Probus, age 99 of Louisville KY passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Essex Nursing Home in Louisville, KY.  She was born in Grayson County, KY., the daughter of  the late Thomas and Bessie Frank Carter and was married to the late Minor Probus.  She was a Homemaker, employed at Spaulding Laundry and a member of South Side Baptist Church.

She enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting, Reading, Quilting and Teaching Sunday School. She loved traveling to The Smokey Mountains with her Family and spending time with friends of Golden Age Club. Her proudest moments were spent with her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Wilkerson (David); a son, Cecil Probus (Loretta); four Grandchildren; fourteen Great-grandchildren; one Great-great-grandchild;  a sister, Louise Purcell; a sister-in-law, Virginia Carter; and a brother-in-law, J.R.Cockrill.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and one great-granddaughter, Eden Wilkerson and two brothers: Herman and Edgar Carter and one sister, Elnora Cockrill.
