Gil Smith was born on December 17, 1964 in Grayson County, KY. He was the son of Eugene and Georgetta Johnston Smith.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Smith.

He is survived by one son, Dustin Thompson; his mother Georgetta Smith; three brothers: Doug(Mary), Phillip (Tracie) and Tom Smith; one sister Annette Smith Kirkwood; four nephews: Alex, Jared, Wesley and Matthew; one niece, Amber and one grand nephew Jordan.

Visitation : Wednesday March 15 2017 from 3-8 PM CDT; Thursday after 9:00 AM CDT at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home. Prayers Wednesday night at 6:00 PM CDT.

Services : Thursday March 16 2017 at 11:00 AM CDT at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev Babu Kulathumkal and Reb. Brian Johnson officiating.
