George "Robert" Portman, age 88, of Leitchfield, KY passed away on Tuesday at his residence.

He was born in Grayson County, KY., son of the late William S. and Anna Lee Casey Portman.

He was retired from International Harvester in Louisville, KY, a Army Veteran of WWII and member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three children; Sally, Bobby and Joseph and three grandchildren; Chad, Jason and Shelly.

He is survived by his wife; Anna Frances Dennis Portman, three sons; John Robert, David Anthony and Michael Louis Portman and four daughters; Mary Ann Conder, Bonnie Sue Lampton, Julie Catherine Penny and Barbara Ellen Graye.

Other survivors include one sister; Mary Etta Wilson, seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation : Firends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 1 -8 pm on Thursday November 20 2014 Prayer services will be at 6:00 pm .

Services : Funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday at St.Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Steve Hohman will preside over his service.

Interment : Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
