Freda Lois Burkhead, age 86, of Big Clifty, KY. passed away Monday at University Hospital in Louisville.

Mrs. Burkhead was born in Illinois, daughter of the late Fred and Effie Lush Clark and was married to the late Vernon Burkhead. She was a member of Clarkson Church of Christ, the mother of four children and was retired from Kane Mfg. Company as a seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter; Mary Jo Burkhead, two sons; Don (Jo) Burkhead and Martin Burkhead.

Other survivors include her grandchildren; Adam Burkhead, Heather (Mark) Young, Scotty (Jessica) Davis, Chad Pence and Michael Burkhead, great-grandchildren; Landen Young and Seth Young and one sister; Lilly Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son; Roger Burkhead.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home on Thursday May 8 2014 from 3 - 8pm (CDT) and after 9am Friday.

Services : Funeral service will be at 11:00am (CDT) Friday May 9 2014 at Clarkson Church of Christ.

Interment : Burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
