Frank J. Campbell, age 94 of Glasgow, formally of Leitchfield, passed away at his residence on Saturday.
A native of Louisville, he was the son of the late Gladys Sanderson and Frank Campbell, Sr. He was a former mechanic of the Ford Garage in Leitchfield and a retired mail carrier at the Leitchfield Post Office. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and a member of First Baptist Church in Leitchfield.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mayes Campbell; one son, Michael A. Campbell and his wife Nancy of New Albany, IN; one step-son, Richard Mayes and his wife Eve of Pocataligo, GA., one brother-in-law, Oval Higgs and his wife Beulah of Millwood, KY; 8 grandchildern; 3 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of his three children: Dorine Higgs Campbell, to whom he was married for 57 years; along with a son, Larry Campbell, and a daughter, Carolyn Mitchell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow.
Visitation : Friends may call at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home from 3 - 8 p.m. on Monday July 1 2103 and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Services : Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 2 2013 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. George Smith officiating.
Interment : Burial will be in Layman Memorial Cemetery in Millwood.
