Etta (Skaggs) Pierce, age 84 of Leitchfield passed away January 21, 2016 at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield. She was born in Beech Grove, KY., daughter of the late Lonard and Maude Forbes Skaggs and was married to Glenn Pierce. She achieved a Master's Degree, plus Rank 1 and retired from teaching school after 32 years in the school system. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was the 1st. Miss Grayson County in 1952.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband; Glen Pierce, one daughter; Karen West (Glenn) of Las Vegas, Nevada and two grand-daughters; Sarah West and Margaret Abigail West both of Washington. D.C.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 4:30 - 8:30 PM (CST) on Wednesday January 27 2016. Prayer service will be at 6:30. Visitation will continue after 9:00AM Thursday.

Services : Funeral service will be at 11:00AM (CST) on Thursday January 28 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Bro. Rev. Babu Kulathumkal will officiate.

Interment : Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
