Elsie Rhea Lashley, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY. passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.

She was the daughter of the late Ezra and Sarah Jane Cook Whitaker. She was married to Herbert Lashley.

Elsie is survived by one daughter, Maureen Freeman of Corbin, KY.and two sons, Kenneth and Damon Lashley of Leitchfield, KY.

Other survivors include one sister, Ulva M. McStoots of Sadler, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Keith Lashley, her parents and four brothers, Lonnie, William, James and Herman Whitaker.

Visitation : Friends after 12:00 noon Monday. Oct. 24 2011 continuing at 9:00 am Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home.

Services : Funeral services at 1:00 pm Tuesday Oct. 24 2011. Bro. Edward Cockriel will conduct services.

Interment : Burial will be in Cook Cemetery.
