Ellery Sylvester Powell, age 76, of Clarkson, KY. passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born in Grayson County, KY. on October 27, 1940, son of Ernest and Deltha (Caswell) Powell and was married to Lillie Sharon (Meredith) Powell.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a retired Insurance Salesman.

Ellery is survived by his wife; Lillie Sharon Powell, one daughter; Colette (Powell) Rigdon (Kevin), one son; Steve Powell (Joanie), two grandsons; Wesley Rigdon and Spencer Rigdon and two grand-daughters; Rachel Rigdon and Sydney Powell.

Other survivors include two brothers; Carmel Powell (Orvilla) and Glenuel Powell (Winnie) and one sister; Winnie Reams (Lee).

He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 3:00 - 8:00pm (CST) on Tuesday December 20 2016 and after 9:00am Wednesday.

Services : Funeral service will be at 1:00pm (CST) on Wednesay December 21 2106 at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Carlon Fields will officiate.

Interment : Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
