Edwin "Eddie" Ray Bess, age 78, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday (September 1, 2020) at Spring View Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leitchfield.

He was born on November 17, 1941 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Charles and Edna Bess.  Eddie retired from Crop Production Services in Clarkson, where he worked serving farmers for several years.  He graduated from Clarkson High School in 1960 and was a devoted member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sister, Esther Suter (Garnett) of Lexington and two brothers, Larry (Joan) from Clarkson and Charlie from Lexington, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great, great nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther and sister, Janet Gibson.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 pm at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson. Bro. Billy Compton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 9:30 am Sunday until time of services.

Expression of sympathy may take the form of donations to the: Rock Creek Cemetery, c/o Verel Skaggs at Bank of Clarkson.
