Edna Marie Matthews, age 83, of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Edna was born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky to the late Elzia and Temple Douthitt Mattingly.

She was married to the late Edward A. Matthews and was the mother of two children, Frances Hayes and Eddie F. Matthews.

Edna is survived by her daughter and son, three brothers,Elwood, Leonard and Sylvester Mattingly, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers; Edward and Tice Mattingly and two sisters; Mildred Despain and Loreane Bales and one great-grandchild.

Visitation : Friends after 11:00 AM Monday continuing at 9:00 AM Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home.

Services : Tuesday September 13 2011 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home.

Interment : Burial in Eveleight Cemetery.
