Doug Higdon was born in Grayson Co., Ky. He was the son of James Coyie Higdon and Mary Enith Grant Ross and was married to Sandra Gipson Higdon. He was a Kiln Operator at Baillie Lumber and a member of Shrewsbury General Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his Father and one sister; Mylissa Higdon Torrence.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a daughter, Jennifer Hare (James); a step-son, Dustin Larrimore (Lauren); a step-daughter, Morgan Haycraft (Russell); five grandchildren: Taylor, Emma, Oakley, Travis and Baby Hare; his mother Mary Enith Ross; his step-father, Ronnie Ross; a brother, Darrell Higdon (Vicky); two sisters: Patricia Niles and Kim Willis (Jason); a very special uncle, Damon Higdon; several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation : Thursday March 2 2017 from 12 to 8 PM CST at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home; Friday after 9:00 AM CST at Shrewsbury General Baptist Church until time of service.

Services : Friday March 3 2017 at 1:00 PM CST at Shrewsbury General Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Webb officiating.

Interment : St. Anthony Cemetery
