IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Allen
Grant
December 7, 1947 – September 6, 2025
David Allen Grant, age 77, of Clarkson, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Spring View Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.
He was born December 7, 1947, in Grayson County to the late Lee and Pearl Lush Grant. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
David was an avid storyteller and an encyclopedia of jokes. Anyone who had the pleasure of talking with him has no doubt been met with one of his really easy questions. He loved walking around town or to the ballpark and talking to anyone who would listen. When David wasn't walking, he enjoyed watching Wrestling, Westerns, the Kentucky Wildcats and the occasional Monster Truck Race. He never met a meal he didn't love, except for snails, of course and he often contemplated what was for dinner. He also loved playing golf with his beloved wife Jeanne and spending time at the beach with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Darst Grant and eight brothers and sisters, Alberta, Aileen, Murel, Bobby, Wilfred, Carolyn, Estelle and James.
David is survived by his daughter, Julie Cox; a son, Eric Grant (Monica); five granddaughters, Chloe, Jordan, Maggie, Natalie and Shelby and several nieces and nephews.
