Daniel Wayne Sims, age 65, of Louisville passed away Saturday at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.

He was born in Grayson County, KY, son of Samuel Thomas and Gladys Kidwell Sims. He was a retired Machine Operator from General Electric, Veteran of Vietnam ERA, recipient of two Purple Hearts and member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Mr. Sims is survived by three children; Daniel Wayne Sims, Jr. (Danielle), Denise Marie Parkhill and Anthony Dewayne Sims, two step-daughters; Deanna Gwynne Miller and Sadera Woods.

Other survivors include four brothers; Thomas Sims, Murrell Sims, Jerry Sims and Sherrill Sims, three sisters; Regina Bradley, Corine Minton and Betty Sue Milliner, fourteen grandchildren and one-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, five Brothers and two sisters.

Visitation : Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00pm(CST) on Tuesday February 3 2015 and after 9:00am Wednesday.

Services : Funeral service will be at 11:00am (CST) Wednesday February 4 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Steve Hohman will officiate.

Interment : Cremation to follow services.
