Obituary

Dale Edward Self, age 58, departed this life on Wednesday, February, 16, 2011, to be with his Heavenly Father.

He grew up in Grayson County and attended local schools and church. Dale and his father were builders. His reputation was big, but his heart was even larger. The love he had for his family and friends will stand stronger that the houses he built and will last for generations.

Dale's hobby was collecting and restoring antique International Farmall tractors. He loved to drive in parades across the county, making memories every mile with his oldest grandson; Blake, his father; Ed and youngest grandson; Bailey. Occasionally Debbie would participate in the parades.

He was married to the love of his life;Debbie Howard Self. He was a doting Father to his daughter; Amy Hatfield and Husband, Ritchie and Step-daughter; Shannon Polston and Husband, Aric. He was a Special Son to his parents; Ed and Thelma and a Big Brother to his sisters; Mimi Stinson and Husband, Roger and Tammy Langdon and Husband, Mike, all of whom survive.

He adored his Grandchildren; Blake Tyler Aubrey, Bailey Storm Swift and Lucas Dwain Hatfield and loved his nephew; Brad Stinson and niece; Sara Langdon Cooper.

Visitation : Visitation after 10:00 am Saturday February 19 2011 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home.Visitation continues Sunday at 9:00 am at the church until time of service.

Services : 11:00 am Sunday February 20 2011 at Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church with Members of Mt. Hebron Church conducting the service.

Interment : Burial at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
