Curtis Leo Birch, age 88, of Leitchfield, passed away, Friday, August 7, 2026, at Owensboro Health-Twin Lakes Medical Center.

He was born on November 19, 1937, in Grayson County to the late Leo and Edna Frank Birch. He was a retired truck driver from Majors Trucking and a farmer. He loved his cows, tractors and spending time with his family and friends. He attended Leitchfield First Cumberland Presbyterian Church faithfully until his health declined.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Joshua Birch; a sister, Frances VanArsdale and a brother-in-law, Stanley Sipes.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Sipes Birch; a son, Randell (Donna) Birch; two grandchildren, Cara (Brian) Skaggs and Jarrod (April) Birch; seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Ryleigh, Kenzley and Kagan Skaggs and Jackson, James and Ava Birch; a sister, Alice Culpepper; brother-in-law, Steven Sipes and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Watkins Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Shartzer officiating. Burial will be in the Basham Cemetery in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
