Clinton Armstrong, age 69, of Leitchfield, passed away peacefully, Sunday night, February 27,2011,at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Grayson Co., KY, on December 15, 1941, the son of the late Herschel and Rena Fentress Armstrong. He grew up in the Lilac community and attended grade school there. He later attended and graduated from Clarkson High School. After graduation he began a lifetime career at Bel Cheese in Leitchfield, where he worked for 34 years.

In April 1961, he married his sweetheart, Dorothy Dennison, and from that day forward his life was filled with blessings beyond measure. He loved his children dearly, but was the happiest in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever call him Pappaw.

Clinton and Dorothy loved to travel with family and friends. They enjoyed every trip and always came home with lots of memories to share.

He loved to farm and did so, with Dorothy and his children at his side, until his failing health wouldn't allow him to till the ground any longer.

Clinton is known throughout Grayson and surrounding counties for his love of life and people. He was a faithful member and deacon of Hanging Rock Church. He had a joy for life, always had a joke or prank to pull on someone, that was a gift from his father.

Clinton had a battle with Parkinsons for 21 years, causing his body to fail, but his spirit never gave up. He loved his Lord and it has shown through his life as he witnessed to the people he came in contact with daily.

He leaves behind his wife of 49 years and caregiver; Dorothy, his four sons and daughters-in-law; Terry and Rose, Troy and Theresa, Thomas and friend, Chris Curtis and Travis and Leigh Anne and one daughter and son-in-law; Tracey and Laymon Dennis as well as 19-grandchildren and 10-great-grandchildren.
