Obituary

Clarence Fulkeson, Jr., age 78, of Leitchfield, KY., departed this life peacefully and into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 9, 2012, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born on August 3, 1933 in Big Clifty, KY., son of the late Clarence David and Bertie Hornback Fulkerson. He grew up in Big Clifty, KY., and attended local schools. After graduating from Clarkson High School he served his country in the Army. Junior attended and graduated from Western Ky University with a Master's Degree in Industrial Arts. He began his teaching career in the Bardstown School System. He felt the need to return back home to Grayson County and did so, continued his teaching career in the Grayson County School System until he retired in 1992. He loved working with his hands doing wood work and mechanic work, tilling the ground, raising cattle and playing with his grandchildren on the farm. He could often be found helping a neighbor, friend or stranger who needed help. He was never to busy too drop everything and go somewhere with his family or friends.

Junior met the love of his life and soul-mate, Linda Pryor, and they were blessed with fifty-one years of marriage. He and Linda were chosen to be the parents of two precious children; Jann and Kyle.

He was a member, deacon and trustee of Little Clifty Baptist Church, Army Veteran, retired teacher, farmer, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Junior loved farming and was happiest tilling the ground with his seven grandchildren at his side. The special memories he has left his family will be a blessing and comfort to their lives.

He now leaves behind his loving wife, Linda; one son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Kim Fulkerson; one daughter, Jann Addis, six grandchildren; Dylan Vaught, Breanna, Logan, Garrett, Lane and Cameron Fulkerson and one adopted grand-daughter, Brittney Ford.

Other survivors include two brothers, Raymond and Calvin Fulkerson; two sisters, Corine Miller and Alta Parks, several nieces, nephews and two special friends, Jack and Cindy Ford.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and one sister, Dortha Miller.

Visitation : Friends may call from 11:00AM to 9:00PM Wednesday January 11 2012 continuing at 8:30AM Thursday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home.

Services : Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Thursday at Little Clifty Baptist Church with Bro. Arnold Moon officiating.

Interment : Burial will be in Little Clifty Baptist Church Cemetery.
