Chester E. Milliner, age 70, passed away Sunday, March 9,2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born on March 13, 1954, in Grayson County, Kentucky to the late Franklin and Mildred Milliner.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He put Tar Hill back on the map when Tar Hill Corner Junction was built. He enjoyed farming, Kentucky basketball, Nascar and playing poker. When he was still able, he also loved to ride the trails with friends and family by his side
He is survived by his daughters, Kyra (Barry) Dennis, Tania Blanton (Clay Boone) and Kelley Higdon; eight grandchildren, Olivia Saltsman, Alex Madison, Nik Madison, Clay Dennis, Shelby Dennis, Avrie Milliner, Haley Milliner and Brantlee Blanton; six siblings, Joe Ed (Carol) Milliner, Boyd Milliner, Jenny Powell, Treva (Bobby) Toohey, Joyce (James) Hartlage and Deloris Cockriel. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings, Charles, Rita and Ranata.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM (CT), Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Rogers Funeral Home.
Prayer service will be held at 6 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
