Charles "Charlie" Winford Clemons, 85, of Louisville, passed away December 16, 2024, at VA Louisville Hospital.
Charlie was born November 14, 1939, to the late Courtland Lee Clemons and Mary Oleta Clemons in Wax, KY. He attended St. Benedict Grade School and St, Thomas Seminary and graduated from St. Paul High School in Grayson County KY. He proudly served his country in the U S Army. He graduated from Indiana University and attended Bellarmine University. He retired from Brown Forman Corporation and The Lang Company. During retirement Charlie has enjoyed spending time with his family and toy poodles Angel and Baby; working on his farm and watching UK sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard Clemons and James Norman Clemons.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Scott Clemons (Elizabeth); daughter Susan Winslow (Robert); stepdaughters, Jennifer Mountz and Melissa Mountz.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday December 21, 2024, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 6874 Wax Rd. (Highway 479), Wax, KY with burial to follow in Wax Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. CST on Saturday before his funeral mass at St. Benedict.
