Charles Duane Stone, Sr. age 73, of Leitchfield, passed away, Monday, April 28, 2025, at Owensboro Health-Twin Lakes Regional Medical.
He was born July 16, 1951, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to the late Charles Stone and Lois Adams Parker. He found joy in golfing and fishing, embracing the simple pleasures of life. He committed 17 years of service to Orlando International Airport as the lead locksmith, and then as a locksmith at Rollins College in Winter Park Florida. From the age of 16 to 66, he coached Little League and Pop Warner football and many affectionately called him "Coach". He strived to be a positive influence in many young lives and was also very involved in PTA and Cub Scouts. His pride and joy were his family and grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Rebecca Ann Rawlings Stone having been with her since he was 13 till she passed in 2017; two brothers, Billy Parker and Bobby Parker and two sisters, Beth Parker and Pamela Parker.
He leaves behind a loving family including a daughter, Cynthia (Walter) D'Andrea of Leitchfield and Charles Duane Stone, Jr. and Clayton Thomas (Nikki Messal) Stone of Florida; six grandchildren, Walter "Andy" D'Andrea, Lucia (Vincent) Ricketts, Samuel D'Andrea, Cassidy Stone, Charlize Stone and Hayley Cheshire; a great-granddaughter, Sofia Ricketts; a sister, Robin Parker and several other relatives and friends.
