Obituary

Charles Henry "Red" Milliner, age 86, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his home. He was born May, 12, 1935, son of Luther Thomas and Pearl Minton Milliner.

Red retired from P. Lorillard in Louisville where he worked since age 17. He began his second career alongside his son Doug raising tobacco, hogs, cattle, and hay.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years Velda Sue, one son, Douglas Brent (Marcia) Milliner, granddaughter Karah (Jody) Carroll, and grandson Gavin (Amanda) Milliner. Great grandchildren include Jayley, Tinley, Beckham, and Brooks Henry Carroll, and Kaden Milliner. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Daniel Elliott and Christina Elliott Hobson, one sister, Thelma Self and one brother, Louis Milliner. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Robin Elliott, 4 brothers, Earnest, Leslie, Herschel, and Franklin "Pete" Milliner, 2 sisters, Glennie Drane and Mable Milliner.

Services will be graveside only on Tuesday, Sept 28, 2021 at 1PM (CST) due to Covid. Please wear a mask while attending. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jimmy Douthitt with burial in Mt Hebron Cemetery.
