Charles Franklin Drake, age 93, of Clarkson passed away December 12, 2023, at his residence.

He was born March 22, 1930, in Clarkson, Kentucky, to the late Albert and Alice Franklin Drake. He was a lifelong farmer, a county committeeman and a community committeeman for the Department of Agriculture and he enjoyed coon hunting and was a Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Travis Lee Drake, and Eddie Decker; one brother, Jackie Drake; and one sister, Mary Jane.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor Denison Drake; two sons, Terry Drake (Brenda) and Timmy Decker (Elizabeth); two daughters, Vicky (Mitsuo) Culbertson, and Paula Haynes (Danny); six grandchildren, Tara Lynne Drake, Toni Lanete Finley, Uri Haynes, Bethany Jones, Sarah Haynes and Gene Culbertson; twelve great grandchildren, Elijah Jones, Josie Jones, Molly Jones, David Jones, Uly Haynes, Maeby Haynes, Coen Haynes, Kyran Drake, Keegan Finley, Zoie Finley, Chiyo Culbertson, and Kimiko Culbertson; one brother, Tom Drake; and one sister, Betty Keller.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM (CST) Saturday, December 16, at Rogers Funeral Home, with Danny Haynes and Mitchell Embry officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Friday and after 9 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.
