Cassie Marie Drane Whitely, age 97 of Leitchfield passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Cassie was born in Grayson County, KY. She was the daughter of Willie and Viola Richardson Drane, and was married to Preston Whitely.

She was a retired seamstress at Kane Mfg. Co. She was a Faithful member of Coyle Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She loved the church very much.

She is survived by two daughters: Betty Embry (Charles) and Laverne Laslie (L.D.); one grandson, Donnie Mercer (Sandra); three granddaughters: Patty Johnston (Charlie), Dana Powell (Bob) and Stephannie Green (Stacy); 9 Great-grandchildren; 4 Step-great-grandchildren; 12 Great-great-grandchildren and 7 Step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, one grandson, Dennie Laslie; two Sisters and one Brother.

Visitation : Thursday November 3 2016 from 3-8 PM CDT; Friday after 9:00 AM CDT at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home until time of service at the church.

Services : Friday November 4 2016 at 11:00 AM CDT at Coyle Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Billy Carter and Bro. Jimmy Tucker officiating.

Interment : Coyle Cemetery
